Sunday Menu

Published by adecheine at 8:21 pm under Beef Ribs Edit This

We went to the grocery store today and found some ribs on sale at a $1.00 a pound. Shrimp I had bought on sale then was able to use a manufacturer coupon which brought the price of medium tale on shrimp down to $2.00 a bad. This blog is going to not only discuss cooking but using coupons, finding the bargains.

Menu

Breakfast

Vanilla and Cinnamon French Toast

10 Eggs Beaten with a dash of milk, two teaspoons vanilla, three or four shakes cinnamon.

Place on griddle at 400 degrees, flip when toasted.

We were unable to finish all the French toast so I use our foodsaver to freeze the bread. My daughter pops them in the toaster for breakfast before school

Breakfast Burrito

We use Scrambled eggs, shredded cheese, and sausage to create a very basic Breakfast Burrito. The video above is my husband wrapping it all up.

Dinner/Lunch

Barbecued Ribs Tenderloins

These Tenderloins were bought for only a $1.00 a pound. I like to put them into the oven at 350 degrees, sprinkle season salt and onion powder on them with a dash of water.

The object here is to steam them. It is a cheaper meat so were going to boil the fat away.

Hmm, Ribs coming out of the oven after one hour.

Drain the ribs and then add to a crock pot. We then pile on the sweet and sassy barbecue sauce. Let cook for another hour in the crock pot to fall off the bone.

Mango Salsa

Here are the ingrediants I use to prepare the salsa

We use the “Chopper”, I also add in garlic. I will go over this recipe in the future step by step. It is really good.. Finished product..

We usually eat this all day with fat free tortilla chips.

Shrimp Salad

We bought two boxes of suddenly salad “off brand” at our local store for only a buck a box. I stock up on these because they are economical to feed a family and you can doctor them up! The Shrimp I use in the recipe is a whole 16 oz bag. I use about 1 cup of real mayonnaise for this. This is not Low Fat. My husband likes it “wet” so the more the better.

This is the shrimp, we thaw and pull the tail off.

I had one more thing on the menu but as usual we had to much food..

Corn on the cob with jalapeño garlic butter.

Enjoy and until tomorrow..
